Macrophages in Lung Inflammation

Our lab studies how monocytes and macrophages regulate responses to injury and inflammation, with special emphasis on diseases that affect the lung. We think that these cells provide crucial cues to other cell types in the inflammatory niche. The goal is to integrate basic immunology with translational studies in order to understand the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, and acute lung injury.
